There are different features between a man and a woman. These features vary from physiological functions, body structure and psychosomatic identities. Edith Stein wrote an article, The Genius of Woman, explaining the difference of femininity and masculinity. Edith states, “The feminine species expressed a unity and wholeness of the total psychosomatic personality and a harmonious development of faculties. The masculine species strives to enhance individual abilities in order that they may attain to their highest achievements” (The Genius of Woman, 3). Women want to feel whole and self-contained. Once they are able to make themselves feel that way that is when they can help others who are misguided. Edith said that women are people, not objects and to take away someone’s dignity can make a woman feel lost in trying to find her true identity. Women can apply their Feminine Genius in many different ways all around the World at any given time. It all started when the Saint Mary received the Son of God. Saint Mary is the Spouse of God, Mother of Jesus, Mother of Jesus and most importantly a role model for all Christians. Saint Mary is considered to be the genius of receptivity. The fact that a woman can give life makes them even more conscious about their actions and even more so their body. A good Mother would be focused on the needs of their own body after conception for the sole beneficial of the baby inside her. Being sensitive has nothing to do with being weak in fact it actually shows a lot of strength. Traci Osuna wrote an article called, Be Beautiful, Inside and Out. These problems are promoted through all forms of media, which influenced the mental, social and moral wellbeing of all women. When dealing with these evident problems women may become vulnerable. For example Anne Malone wrote an article, The Feminine Genius, where she states, “Contraception is nothing if it not an attempt to convince women that the only path to fulfillment and equality is to make their bodies as much like men as possible. Women have become increasingly convinced that they must work to find a way to walk away from sexual encounters as easily as men do” (Maloney, 3).
