However, the other two companies involved in the development of Pokémon Go were Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, which is partially owned by Nintendo. One interesting aspect to note is that the change in stock price Nintendo had during July of 2016.…

After reading your argument against Pokemon Go, I can say without doubt that I do agree with you. The distractions that this game contributes to society does not equate to the good it does. Distracted walking and driving would not contribute to behavioral activation but rather to accidents that results in hospital visits or deaths. Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of accidents, adding one more factor to that equation results in more accidents which outweighs the ability of Pokemon Go to contribute to health. Pokemon Go contributed to people being lured into secluded areas where they are robbed by armed robbers.…

I have not joined the Pokémon Go craze nor do I plan on becoming a part of the worldwide phenomenon. Even though I am boycotting this beloved game of my childhood, its effect on society is profound and I took notice to it after reading the Huffington Post article, “Pokémon Go’s Mental Health Benefits Are Real”.
