With five hundred room constructed, Chevelon Pueblo is the third largest, and although the groups flourished, they were eventually abandoned. The need to commemorate events and people can be complex in the sense that there are various reasons to create monuments and memorials, whether it be to recognize accomplishments or show respect to deep sacrifice. No matter what the central reason to create a monument is, it's imperative that it remains meaningful. In order to create a meaningful and significant monument, there are multiple factors to first consider. It's necessary for a monument's purpose and significance to be thought of first, to ensure that the monument should even be built in the first place.…
The Rose that Grew From Concrete by Tupac Shakur helped me understand more about tolerance because in most of the poems he’s talked about his struggles. In his poem “Life Through My Eyes” Tupac wrote “[l]ife through my bloodshot eyes/ would scare a square 2 death/ poverty, murder, violence” (11), and that is him talking about the things he’s seen and been through. Later in the poem he wrote “[b]ut mark my words when I say/ my heart will not exist/ unless my destiny comes through/ and puts an end 2 all of this” (Shakur 11) because, to me, those lines are him looking forward in life and tolerating all the poverty, murder and violence he witnesses because he knows that his destiny will come and put an end to all of that. Also, in the poem “Genesis…

The field of archaeology is one that requires two key qualities: curiosity and determination. It is a field of study rooted, fundamentally, in asking questions, and seeking out new opportunities. Whether an archaeologist is attempting to date an artifact, or piece together the lives of people who came before them, an archaeologist must always ask multi-disciplinary questions, try out new theories and methods, and gain new perspectives to make new discoveries or challenge old ones. It is also a field of study that mandates dedication, as the archaeologist not only must hone their skills on a dig site, but also academically, as they learn requisite languages, and hone academic writing abilities. It is because I consistently exhibit these qualities of curiosity and determination that I am a worthy recipient of this scholarship.…
