Human Growth Hormone is one of the major hormone found in endocrine system in your body. It is an essential hormone that stimulate the body growth, normal brain function and secreted by the somatotropin cells in anterior pituitary gland. There are a condition of abnormal body grow such as pituitary gigantism and pituitary dwarfism which the body over create grow hormone or doesn’t create enough GH. However, many of the researcher agreed that the cause of pituitary dwarfism is genetic phrase, it is not typically passed from parents. Experts believes that the cause of pituitary dwarfism is depending on the pituitary gland that does not produce enough of growth hormone or lack of the growth hormone which cause the body to grow slow (Gentile 2012). According to the study of Children’s Health, the investigators determine that the cause of pituitary dwarfism can be caused by genetics, accident-related trauma to the pituitary gland, surgical injury of the pituitary, central nervous system tumor and leukemia. Also, the symptoms of dwarfism is depend on the ages. In children, the symptoms for dwarfism would be an immature face, chubby body build, delayed puberty, increased fat around the face and stomach, slow tooth development, sluggish hair growth and delay growth compare to their peers. (Toft 2014). In adult, the symptoms for dwarfism is decreased muscle mass and strength, lack of memory, lower tolerance to exercise and tend to be shorter than their peers. Eventually, there are many tests used to diagnosis the children and adults with GH deficiency. Nevertheless, the diagnosis for both children and adults starts with physical exam. The doctor will check the height, weight and body proportions by using growth chart. After the physical exam, blood test and GH stimulation tests for growth hormone are necessary. Blood test will help the doctor to determine whether the growth problem is caused by pituitary gland and measure the amount of hormone produced by pituitary gland. The other diagnosis could be X-ray, CT and MRI which help the doctor can see the problem with bone growth and pituitary and hypothalamus issues (Gentile
