Pitman Hall Case Studies

Introduction
Pitman Hall is in Toronto and is Ryerson’s largest residence with 14 floors and 565 rooms (Housing and Residence- Ryerson University, n.d.). The main floor has a cafeteria where the students can eat food. The following report is based on the risk categorization inspection of Pitman Hall’s cafeteria.
A risk categorization inspection is carried out by Toronto Public Health. The purpose is to determine the risk level of the premises and the frequency of inspection. According to the Food Safety Protocol section (1b), “the Board of Health shall conduct an annual site- specific risk categorization to determine the risk level and frequency of inspection” (Meldrum, 2016).
