Phone While Driving Is One Of The Major Causes Of Car Collisions

One of the major reasons of car collisions these days, is using your phone/device while driving. Many negative things can happen if on the phone while driving. Textingndriving.com states that 80% of crashes involved some form of the drivers inattention, due to the fact that they were using their phone while driving. Do you know what this means? It means more than half of crashes that occur are happening because of a electronic device being used during driving. 80% is a huge number for car crashes. If the number of crashes is so huge imagine how many lives that took.

The teens are the main crowd of people that use their phone while driving. A phone for the teens has become a necessity, this means that they really just cant live without their phones. Whether its Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook etc. Or just a simple text. But the sad thing about this is that their parents are the ones who are actually influencing this. Parents text while driving, so when its time for the teens to start driving they don’t think it’s a bad thing or even a big deal because their parents are doing it. As parents its your responsibility to teach your children what's right and what's wrong.

How distracting can a phone be anyways? But it actually is extremely distracting. Let's say for an example you are driving your vehicle and you receive a text, automatically you are going to be tempted to check that. Even if it's just a text saying “lol” or even “ok” you are probably going to reply. As soon as you reply you have continued the conversation and going to receive more messages. From that you will keep on using your phone and putting yourself in danger. You can turn your notifications off when driving so that your mind doesn’t get
