Eight percent of people have been turned down for a job because of a social media post in their teens. The use of social media can cause people to lose the ability to read body language. Social media also makes kids forget what a good friend or coworker is. Many kids will not do their work because of their obsession with social media, which can lead to a loss of a job or a friend. Social media brings unnecessary drama into people’s lives. People might take a picture or a message the wrong way than it was meant to be. Along with the drama, teens can get very aggressive or angry at social media.
The overuse of phones has many mental and physical effects on the body. Some mental effects include: slower brain growth or development, can cause kids to detach away from their parents, insomnia, severe headache, and getting mad or angry very easily.
