The United States Of America’s Declaration of Independence says, we are subject to "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." These unalienable rights are taken away under the illegalization of marijuana. As other substances like alcohol are legal, marijuana should be too. The wishes of our Founding Fathers should not be broken unless our liberty and happiness lead to adverse consequences and the use of marijuana does not. I strongly believe in the legalization of marijuana as there are no major health effects, it can be used for medicinal purposes, and it can help our nation get out of it’s debt crisis. Marijuana has been ingested for some 10,000 years and there has not been one death recorded from it’s use.
