Society often looks at the successes and failures of an individual. What the government really likes to look at is how one ended up getting there. Whether your path was from starting at a community college then transferring to a university, or if it was just straight from high school to a university, all society cares about is the education of students. They want students to be educated and have the opportunities that many didn’t have before. Education is what parents and the government really want one in particular to have so that the upcoming generations would live a less stressful life. By that I mean not having to struggle with having to find another job if you get laid off. You would have that education so you could easily find another job in the same career field. Making an individual 's life easier in the sense that one 's education will get a well paid job, leading to the point where one 's life is a lot easier. In order for you to have a good starting position in the career that you desire, you need to have had obtained higher education. Graduating and obtaining that education is a requirement. Someone who ended up going to a college is not always going to be educated in the way that the institution wanted them to be. In the end it matters how the person chose to be educated. Whether it was to keep moving on in the institution or having dropped out and started from scratch. Steve Jobs is a prime example of one who ended up dropping out of a higher learning institution and pursuing his dream in another way other than taking the way that society wanted him to go. This shows how you can be very successful in whatever you want to do even if you didn’t end up graduating from a higher learning institution. School is just a way of obtaining your education. Education is an enlightening experience from events that you have gone through. Education is not just sitting in a classroom being told what something means. You can be outside of school and become educated in those events that you chose to go through. Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckenburg, Henry Ford, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, and many more. All of those listed have either dropped out of college or never even attempted to try.
