There were shootings in Oregon, Newtown Connecticut, Aurora Colorado, and many more. The deadliest shooting recently was in San Bernardino where a husband and a wife were able to legally obtain guns in California even after extensive background checks yet they were able to smuggle high capacity magazines in their car when they are highly illegal in California. They were able to kill 14 people and critically injure a dozen more. The shooting happened at a banquet that was being held by the husbands co-workers and he and his wife got that information and planned their attack dressed in combat ready armor and carrying assault rifles and handguns. Based on these recent developments on school violence the senate has passed a bill regarding juvenile justice. This bill agreed to put more security measures on gun sales and also scan for any more effects of gun violence in popular entertainment. The bill was passed by a landslide of votes, 73 to 25, and it will also add a more in depth background check on the purchaser of the gun.
