After I covered my eyes, I sat in my chair which is approximately twenty feet away from the television. I then attempted to select what I wanted to watch, which was impossible from that far away. To be able to see the guide I had to be standing within two to three feet of the t.v. The cotton balls weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. I was actually able to hear the t.v. fairly well without it being turned up too loud. I called my grandmother using my cordless house phone. I turned the volume all the way down to make it as difficult as possible for me to hear, and even then I was still able to hear her just fine. I inserted the craft sticks in my gloves so they would be positioned on the bottom part of my fingers, which made it difficult to bend them. To open the pill bottle I placed one hand on the bottom of the bottle and the other on top, I then pushed down with the hand placed on top while twisting the lid off at the same time. It was more frustrating than the lentils, because I felt this should have been the easiest task. I was unable to bend my fingers and push down hard to cut the bread. When I ate the bread i mostly allowed it to get soggy and then swallowed it. I peeled the apple using a vegetable peeler before I took a bite, because I don't like the skin. This also was very hard. While eating the apple it was hard to get in chewed up small enough to swallow it, but after a couple minutes I was able to do so. Not being able to bed my fingers very well affected several tasks for this

There are many ways that a person can tell you that works to become a better thinker, but it starts within you. While writing papers this fall semester, I learned that my writing became better when I a. understood what was being asked of me via the criteria, b. allowed myself to make mistakes in order to understand what I was and wasn 't doing correctly, c. I started to question myself, not in a way of was the work too hard, but in the sense of what the assignment and the thesis I am creating is asking. At this stage, you have to be completely real…

Learning to write When I attended elementary school, part of the curriculum was penmanship. There was a certain segment of instruction dedicated to penmanship rather than writing. We were given large sheets of oat colored paper with three parallel lines widely spaced. The alphabets were used to print and write in cursive using the midpoint, and upper lines for capital letters. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

Viewing the past four essays shows the progress and decline of my writing style, and structure. The four essays that were required by the class varied from the best to the worst, both having their similarities and differences. Choosing two out of the four essays, I came to a conclusion that the “process analysis” essay was the best, and the worst essay was the “descriptive” essay. Although it varied from their definitions and structure, the essay’s showed how much the writer, put their work into it. The certain characteristics that made it the worst to the best defined how well the essay would turn out to be.…

“I have to go here, dad. I just have to,” I told my father during our first tour of Colorado Mesa University’s campus. “I already feel like a Maverick,” I admitted as I straightened out my new CMU ball cap from the campus bookstore. Images of my blue and white spirit wear quickly changed to be maroon and gold.…

Writing has been my talent since grade school; I couldn’t sing, or dance but I could write, or so I thought. Then, I entered high school and realized that writing required a lot more than it did in middle school. The brisk pace and advanced comprehension skills required for my English three AP course caused my grades to suffer. I have struggled with college level essay writing tremendously, but through hard-work I have been able to write with more ease and finesse than ever before.…
