“Babikathu wait up”.
It was clearly Uki, one of my very close friends who would always scream my name at the u-turn in which we would meet while walking to school. Today she was wearing a mustard yellow sweater she had been wearing for what seem like her whole life with dark, navy blue, boot cut jeans. Also, was wearing her 5th new pair of glasses after she had broken the previous one while getting hit in the head with a basketball, well that was Uki for you. Although I had known her for a few years, she still remained a complete mystery to me. Sprinting behind me as she finally caught up, “So are you ready for the day of our lives, going to Calaway park and celebrating all the memories we’ve made with our teachers, friends, even the janitor, **exclaimed Uki. The whole gang had arrived and there we were standing on the bright, green, velvety grass waiting for the bus to arrive and there it was heading right towards us. I skipped in, and enjoyed the ride until we had finally arrived. Striding through the entrance, I could notice that all my senses were startled by the scent of cotton candy, hot dogs, and popcorn. The sound of children screaming frantically as their hands waved in the delicate air while water suddenly splashed over them, soaking them from head to toe made me thrilled. My heart was suddenly shooting up with fireworks and adrenalin. As I looked to the left and right my eyes widened preparing to bulge as I saw all these terrifying, alarming, and towering rides. With every glance my heart skipped a beat. I thought to myself, **stop being such a baby, their rides not some pit bulls preparing to dislocate your body**. As I stood on the course, rugged concrete with my hands stuck to my side like glue, I heard someone howling my name. “Sabika hurry up, we have to go on as my rides as possible, I did not pay $20 for nothing”, screamed one of my friends as we all dashed across the park. It was the largest, most thrilling roller coaster yet to be found. I didn't believe it but knowing my best friend Prisa she was not gonna let me miss out on as she would always say, “once in a lifetime opportunities”. It was a hot, sunny day as the sun lit up the whole park. The blunt air had no wind or even a soft gentle breeze. It was just plain old humid and to add on to that, we were crowded with a solid 200 people in the line, okay that's a little over exaggerated but you get the point. The sweaty atmosphere surrounded me to the point where I could smell every particle of the people around me. “Alright you 8 come on in and buckle up” demanded the red-hair employee that looked very suspicious. We went in and for a sudden second I had the feeling of sprinting off. I held onto the stiff, hefty buckle as tight as I could, afraid it might break with all the intense pressure I was applying to it. We started of calmly but as the first turn came I could feel my stomach spinning in a swirl and my breath becoming heavier, and heavier. My heart terminated. “AAAAAAAAAAAA” was all I could hear as everyone raised their hands to feel the rapid wind and the preposterous adrenalin. Going left to right and with every bump, turn, and flip my mouth widened more, and more.
