The Day I Hit My FIrst Dinger!!! Today I am going to be telling you about when I hit my first “Dinger” homerun in baseball. Have you ever had the blood running through your body, adrenaline rushing, and heart pumping so fast it was about to pop out of your chest? Me neither until that day at the plate. Sit back, grab your popcorn and get ready for this exciting story! I woke up to the bright, warm, colorful sky at about 8 o'clock to get ready for a fun, exciting day of baseball. I got all of my baseball gear on and went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth with minty, refreshing toothpaste. After that, I went to the kitchen and grabbed a crunchy, mouth-watering granola bar for a little energy before the game, a game day ritual. We got in car and drove off to Fishers, Indiana. I couldn’t wait to get there and play some baseball. …show more content…
When we finally got there the sun was shiny and bright and there was not a cloud in the sky. I went back to the batting cages and found all of my teammates. After we were done with that we went to the field we were playing on to get warmed up. The field we played wasn’t the biggest field I’ve played but it was average. We started warming up and taking some pop flies and once that was over it was time to go. We all got in the dugout and coach, Jason gave a pregame pep talk to get us focused for the game. We were batting first and i batted 4th that day which is the cleanup hitter. I got up to bat for the first time and i hit a line drive that hit the fence if someone would try and catch it would hurt their hand. So I scored that inning and we were up 2 to 0. It was that same score until the 5th

Our leadoff hitter had a leadoff double, but was then picked off right away. The next two batters weren’t a threat either. The Oklahoma Elite managed to sneak across a run in the bottom of the second. We didn’t want them to catch back up so we decided to kick it in gear. I felt I was in heaven like running the bases at Wrigley Field was a dream come true best experience of my life I will never forget that day. The Chicago Cubs crew said, “we cannot run on the grass rounded third base because if you have the wrong shoe you could kill their grass.” I ran the bases as fast as I could and I felt that was the fastest I ever ran the bases. After I was done running the bases I looked from home plate out to centerfield and looked at Wrigley Field to look at the perspective of a hitter and what they seen while they are up there it was the best MLB stadium that I will ever go…

Baseball: the sport where you stand around for 20 minutes and move 3 feet to the left and move 3 feet to the right. It’s so intense. It’s so intense that you could take a nap on the field with everything out there. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. The only time it’s actually fun is when you’re annihilating the other team while they’re asleep on the field.…

Even since I was little, baseball has and will always be my passion. I have played baseball every summer, but if I had to choose a favorite it would of been the summer of 2010, when I was twelve. The reason why it's my favorite is because I got to experience an event of a lifetime, playing baseball in Cooperstown, New York. There is a tournament there every summer that consists of more than one-hundred teams and the only way to describe it is amazing. In order to play in this tournament, we had to fundraise enough money to be able to compete, and honestly the fundraisers we had held were so much fun.…
