I had just woken up feeling cold. I looked out the window of my dorm to see the dark, cloudy day outside with the rain pelting down on the window pane. I was still really tired after the late night of getting praised on my amazing basketball skills, finally I had been recognized. The college basketball Hall of Fame plaque hung on the wall. It had just recently been updated after the Hall of Fame presentation on Saturday. Everyone was telling me that I needed to declare that I’m joining the NBA as soon as possible! He was saying how good I was and how they were so excited to be able to have me on their team. He put the contract in front of me; I was reading it through, picked up my pen when the back doors flung open! The police had come in. I started sweating buckets, what were they doing? They walked slowly up to the front, and then announced that they had reason to believe that I was a killer! The whole room gasped! The team owner looked at them unbelieving, what was I going to do? The police walked up behind me and asked me what I had to say. I might as well just admit it, I can’t deny now if they

July 22, 2012 was one of my favorite days of my life, it was the day we won the Gopher State Baseball Tournament. We got to take a coach bus up to target field and walk on the field with all the other age groups that also won. On the way up no one could sit still we were all exhilarated to be on a Major League Baseball field. But before we get to that, we should start at the beginning of the season and the state tournament. It was my first year of Royals baseball…

The Baseball Hall of Fame and PEDs Many people believe that baseball players who have been caught using performance enhancing drugs, or PEDs for short, should be forever banned from the baseball Hall of Fame. Others believe that those players should be allowed in despite breaking the rules of the game. “There have been over 128 Major League baseball players who have been caught taking a substance that has been banned from the MLB”("» List of Steroid Users, Implicated Players, Suspensions"). Professional baseball players who have used performance enhancing drugs, or PEDs, should not be able to be elected into the hall of fame, because using these drugs is against the rules of the game of baseball, it is morally wrong, and taking performance…

People coming from a different planet would think every day things we do in life are weird. What we have adapted to and think are normal look very weird to others who haven’t seen people doing things like this. Such as someone who has never shaved before would think that is very odd to shave your beard. Or someone who has never seen a drive threw would think it’s weird to have people have food handed out the window. As we think other cultures are weird we have to look at the fact that our culture is weird to others People that have never seen basketball would thing it is a bunch of people running around with a ball.…

Our daily wiffle ball game was about to start. There was a wiffle ball game every evening behind the apartment complex I lived in. The game was played in a luscious green grass field with a monstrous hill in left field. The usual squad was myself, Ricky, Justin, Michael, Jonathon, Latrell, and occasionally Greg but his parents usually make him stay inside and play monopoly or some other dumb board game. Our teams were always different from the last game.…

I have played baseball ever since I was a young kid, but somehow, at seventeen I still had numerous struggles with it. You would think after my grandpa being drafted to the Pittsburgh Pirates, a Major League baseball team, and my dad getting a full ride to the University of Denver their skill would have rubbed off on me, but you would be wrong. I wasn't terrible, I could hit a 90 mile per hour fastball and I could, for the most part, field a ground ball. However, I was definitely not about to be scouted by the college scouts.…

The first time I learned basketball was when I am at the 6th grade when my physical education teacher registered me in a basketball summer camp. I used to be a shy and quiet girl but since joining the summer camp I started to socialize and have friends. After two months of learning basketball, I began to like it. Then, I started playing basketball in high school as part of my school’s team and I’ve been playing ever since. It started out as just an activity, and then became a hobby that’s something fun to do but later on, I found that I really like basketball.…
