Personal Narrative: System Of A Down

Improved Essays
For my 13th birthday all I wanted was concert tickets to see System of A Down. My family came together and decided to buy the tickets so I could bring two guests, one being a friend and the other had to be a parent. I remember receiving the tickets months later and was so shocked because I thought everyone had forgotten about them, which was close to impossible with all the nagging I did. I had to wait until July for the show, but I was already planning in June. I knew I was going to take my friend Hope and my mom told my dad that it was his turn for concert duty. Unfortunately, my father got stuck chaperoning for a band he couldn’t stand which was going to make to the whole night better.

Today My wagon train and I are leaving Ft. Kearny in search of Courthouse Rock, but first we have reach the California crossing and cross the south platte river. The river is too wide to be bridged and to shallow for a ferry so we have to cross it by using the sandbars. When we got in the water one of the children from another wagon almost drowned because of the current. It took us 30 minutes to get from one end of the river to the other.…

"This life is a precious gift." The Lonely Island Band captures the essence of life for the youthful and daring or the aging and reckless. I enjoy being around family and friends. I care about music, television, and movies; sometimes I like to look for a deep message that most people overlook. I love the human will to survive when pushed to the limits; everyone has an instinct to survive.…

Back in the gang I was fourteen years old when I saw the perfect image and decided to back out. I was about to break into the Jamesons house. Back in the rich neighborhood, back in the gang, back before everything changed. We rode up to Fall Creek, the neighborhood. After driving through the big, confusing, dark neighborhood at night we found a house with a black plaque that said, ‘Welcome to the Jameson’s’ Jacob, Tyler, Ra’shawn, Andrew, and I walked to the back of the gray house.…

Cool Korn As I sat down with one of the coaches, who is the defensive backs coach on the Tennessee State University (TSU) football staff, I noticed how Coach Korn reminded me of myself. My interviewee was Coach Korn, since I play offensive line, he is not one of my coaches. Coach Korn and I have had our occasional hi and bye’s, but until this interview I knew not much of him. I noticed a few things, one being that he has been interviewed before because when we sat down he showed no signs of nervousness, second is that he kept his hood on throughout the entire interview, and third was that Coach Korn did not speak with a loud voice but at the same time I understood his…

The screeching of my violin echoed off the wall as I struggled to play Mendelssohn's concerto in E minor. The double stops that were meant to flow in harmony came out in a jumbled mass of notes indistinguishable from the shriek of a dying cow. I whimpered as these terrible sounds emitted out of my violin, and threw my violin down in defeat. I slowly tilted my head towards the clock, a terrifying reminder that my addition was only 10 min away. I gathered up my music, and ambled away from the empty practice room to where my judge would listen to my audition.…

Some things I would achieve if I was to arrive in an usual place called Fall Hall are explore this district, scout around for new supplies, and the last thing I would do is search around for some water, food, and electricity. Since I was unfamiliar with this new zone I went around and searched for supplies. While I was searching around I noticed something shiny and since the sun was up the light reflected off the mirror and into my eyes. As I got closer to the new object I snoticed that it was 1978 ford f150. Since I was traveling by foot, I took a peek inside to see if the keys were in the ignition.…

Today’s society it is more kids dropping out of school than the older generation when they were in school. My dystopian society would be based off of education. It would be based off of education because people will know and have knowledge to create new things, such as networks, apps, electronics, and also can teach the generation after the new things they have created. Future generations could use these devices and things that was created in the past. It could be useful in the future for businesses and projects.…
