Resilient people do not bounce back from hard experiences; they find healthy ways to integrate them into their lives” (23). Obstacle is a double-edged sword, which are the advantages and disadvantages to me. If I choose to stay away from the obstacle rather than try to overcome them, and I still stand where I am, anything won’t change. However, as long as I can find out my own ways to make the hardship as opportunities rather than difficulties then I can turn these into strength. Last semester, in order to escape the science courses, I took five humanities courses included Sociology course. My friends thought I might be crazy and I started the course without basis because I even did notknow what Sociology is. I attended class every day, and took notes and listened to the professor. However, there were still many academic words I need to figure out the meanings and remember them. Beside this class, I need to manage my time to other courses. My time was not enough. The decision I made, and the result I would bear; I truly understood what that means. Yet, I failed. I got 5 of 15 scores of the first quiz. It was terrible. I asked for help to my friends, and either, they both did not have the experience of studying the Sociology. No one could help me. I had thought about to drop the class. It might reduce my stress. However, if I drop it, I still need to register in another semester, and I may be faced with the same problems. Therefore, I bit the bullet to continue to take the course. I reviewed the PowerPoint of the course on the Moodle. I printed it out, and took it with me everyday. Also, I searched the theories with my primary language. After I got the score of the midterm exam, not a bad score. I was
