I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and had lived there for 16 1⁄2 years
until I came to a resolution from my parents to move to Virginia, which shocked me. I
was shocked because after living in the same apartment for 16 years, I've got used to
the environment of where I lived at, and felt comfortable, and that's actually where I
started my love of playing basketball. Being in New York was a place I thought I never
leave because I enjoyed the company I was around and the many different things to do.
I always thought about how my life would be if I moved somewhere else, and became
the new person and how difficult it would be. Moving to another state wasn't something I
planned on doing, until after graduate.
