I remember one time Phil and I were going to put in posts so we could hang a sign right before entering town. We found the best spot to put the posts, so we dug the holes with the posthole digger and began setting posts. Getting posts set correctly is a very tedious task, and is not fun because of a lot of the manual labor it takes. This particular day Phil’s neck was hurting him extremely bad. Because of this I knew that I had to do most of the work and I was more than willing to do so. After the first 16 foot-long pole was into the hole we back filled it and I began tamping the dirt. To do this particular tamping I was using about a half inch rebar to pack down the dirt that is in the area about three feet around the pole. Thrusting this half inch rebar trying to pack a three feet area all around the pole is very tiring but it had to be done. And there were still two other poles to put in. Not only that, but there are about a total of three layers that need to be packed the exact same way the dirt was pack before. All in all I never want to tamp poles ever again. Persevering through tamping poles has given me an insight on what it’s like to push myself to get jobs done. Pushing myself has proven to be beneficial, mostly because when I push myself I get more out of the occasion. Anyone can relate to the statement, “You get out as much as you put
