It was a really exciting year with my teacher, Mr.Smyth, and my friends,Madison, Kylie, and many others! We learned multiplication, division, and much more. We read lots of books as a class and had lots of fun. Third grade was a wonderful year!

4th grade was lots of fun! I had another great teacher, Mrs.Johnson, and made lots of new friends. This was the first year that we had three rotations. We only had rotaions on wednesdays. We did science, social studies and art! I loved having rotations! They were lots of fun and helped get a better understanding

Seventh grade, my second year now at what I thought to be the worst school in the world. On back to school night I met a man who would change my perspective on life completely, that man being Brandon Lilly. Henry Adams once said “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” At a mere five-foot four he appeared to be a kid minus the burly lumberjack beard that he possessed. I remember being skeptical at first because I had never had a male teacher before.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…

Like most people, the third grade was a highly intense time. This was the period in which you had to decipher between wanting to learn how to multiply or learn how to divide first. Or for me the most difficult decision may have been choosing between kickball and tetherball during recess. But I had an issue of seeing adults doing things and if it was simple I would do them too. For me as a child I had what many considered an old sold.…

Tycianna Caldwell Reynolds ENGL 1010-01N 8 Oct. 2015 Taken for Granted: America We as individuals are very quick to look only at the bad sides of situations. We are sometimes only able to see the things that we do not have and overlook the things that we do. We take for granted things like freedom, equality, and being able to gain an education. Many forget that these things are not guaranteed to others that live in different places. I realized how fortunate I am to live in America when I met someone from another country.…

Performing at Sergustrom Hall with the Honors Chambers Strings Orchestra was one of the most exciting moments in my life. I was four when I started to play violin, and I used the “Suzuki” book series to improve my violin skill. Each book had a new level of difficulty. I averaged on finishing one book per year, though as the years went by, the books took me longer and longer to finish. After finishing book five, I went onto my book six mark for a total of seven years of playing violin.…

“Don’t forget, the paper is due next Wednesday!” My 8th period teacher, Mrs. Oakford told to my class and I as we streamed out of the cramped classroom on a Friday. We couldn’t wait to bust out of the schools doors and claim our prize of a short freedom for surviving another busy, exhausting, and slow week of middle school. I rushed to my locker, grabbed everything I would need for the homework due Monday, threw it in my bag and headed down the hall collecting my friends to walk to town to start what I would hope would be a slow but fun weekend off The weekend went quicker than I wished and before I knew it, it was late Sunday night and I still hadn’t done my homework, I realized this and got to work.…

This year as a freshman at Sublette High School, has been very enjoyable. I enjoyed being around all my friends and getting to know new people. From trying new things, such as being in KAYS, FCA, and being the girls basketball manager, I learned that I liked doing things like that. Some of my favorite memories are painting pumpkins in KAYS, almost making it to state with the girls basketball team, and making a class float for homecoming. Even though I did not do very much my freshman year I still really enjoyed it.…

6th grade. An awkward time for many, even the outgoing. It’s a strange transition going from the safe, closed environment of elementary school, to the imposingly open one of middle school. It was even stranger for me, as I was homeschooled until the 4th grade. My two years at elementary school were spent at two different schools, so I had still yet to fully adjust to school and be comfortable.…

When I started middle school I was worried about how I looked and what people would say about me and how I looked. When I started middle school I was also wondering what the teacher thought since I wasn’t that tall. As the year goes on, I felt more comfortable at school. There was also people who made you feel better about how you look and what you like. They didn’t call me short, and they didn’t gave me a mean nickname for my height.…

In previous years of school I have had many different experiences through extracurricular activities, having different teachers with different styles of teaching, and being in a school environment which forced me to learn things not only academically but learning about social life, things about myself, and what I need to work on to succeed in the future. In 2012 I started sixth grade at Eisenhower Middle School. I was excited to be out of Elementary school because I wanted a more advanced curriculum and I was excited to start learn the Double Bass in orchestra. I also thought it would be nice to go to seven different classes instead of having to learn everything from one or two people (regular and gifted teacher).…
