Personal Narrative-My First Boxing Match

My first ever boxing match Everyone has something they love to do more than anything else. We all have hobbies that we wouldn’t give up no matter what, simply because of the passion that thrives through our blood that pushes us to try our best to be the best. No matter what obstacles come in between what you love, we always figure out a way to get it done. My passion is boxing I enjoy everything about it and can’t imagine myself giving it up for anything. I’ve physically been apart of boxing for about 2 years now but have been apart of it since I can remember. The only thing I could think about was the fight. As I was getting ready I remember putting on my gloves and telling myself “i’m ready” and I immediately went from doubting myself to being so confident I was already thinking what comes next, thinking about how many more sparring sessions will I have to go through until I can finally get another fight. Even though I know I was going to win I still didn’t underestimate my opponent I went in the ring one step at a time and gave my best performance and got extremely happy when I started to think about how hard I pushed myself physically and mentally training and promised myself that I will continue to train for my next fight with the dedication and concentration like I did for the first, I want to be able and see famous boxing quotes and be able to relate to them and tell people I have the determination to be the best. As we exchanged punches mine connected and his missed I realized that I was in no need of having to think about the combination I was going for next it all happened automatically it was muscle memory running the show getting me points by the judges, every punch my opponent threw I came back with two each landing getting more points. Although I did dominate the fight my opponent did catch me with a couple of good shots but that didn’t stop me that just helped me read him as a fighter and that made him a lot more predictable, We both continued and
