This class has been really interesting so far, we are being to touch on subjects that most of us have had previously experience with, as well as being introduced to new subjects. Two subjects that really jumped out at me were the risk ratio and all the positive changes we can make as teachers. Both of these subjects are not new material, but the textbook did enlighten me and hopefully other’s views on the subjects. The risk ratio was a huge problem in my hometown of El Paso, Texas. We had a lot of immigrant students coming from across the border of Mexico. The city implemented a lot of well-designed programs that included bi-lingual schools and activities.
