My American Dream For centuries, people from different countries have started to migrate to the United States for a better life. This mission of being successful is known for being an American Dream. The American Dream is basically someone who is trying their hardest to become successful in life. Those who come to the United States tend to work the hardest so they can support themselves, their family, and to be happy. For example, someone who worked very hard to support their family and be successful was Notorious B.I.G. He was hardworking and determined to be at the top. Most people such as actors and actresses also do the same just like Biggie Smalls that they can to achieve their dreams. Someone who has already lived their own American Dream was my uncle, Luis Almonte, who was a music producer. He worked very hard to support himself and his family even if he was not always with his family a lot. Like my uncle, my dream is to show that I can prove to myself that I can make it to the top. …show more content…
He was born on January 19, 1963, in the Dominican Republic. His dream was to be a music producer. He realized his dream at a young age. The obstacle he had to go through was being away from his family for at least three months. He was not able to be around his kids due to him working and traveling to different countries. My uncle achieved his dream by always working hard and figuring out what sounded good so that the artist will be proud of the sound. Eventually, he achieved his dream of being a music producer when he won his first Grammys Award. What I can learn from my uncle is that if you want to be successful, you have to work for it.
