Kristaps Porzingis Preparing For His Game Against Brooklyn Nets

Superior Essays
One Tuesday on a perfect night for basketball, Kristaps Porzingis was preparing for his game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Knicks and Nets have had a pretty heated rivalry throughout the years so this game was going to be great. Porzingis went crazy that night, scoring twenty eight points, five rebounds, and two assists. But that’s not the only thing that made this night special for him. On this day he met the perfect girl for him, Kristen. She had everything that you would want in a girl, good looks, great attitude, and she was always great to talk to. However there was one problem, she was a Net’s cheerleader. Porzingis saw her performing during the halftime show and decided to approach her. Even though the Knicks hated the Nets with a passion, Kristaps thought that this was right. They talked all of halftime until D’angelo Russell came back from the locker room. D’angelo Russell is a great basketball player that plays for the Brooklyn Nets and he doesn’t like Porzingis very much. They really don’t get along to well because of the huge Knicks and Nets rivalry so when D’angelo saw what Kristen was doing, he tried to stop it. “Hey! …show more content…
What are you doing with this no good New York Knick?” Russell said.
“Don’t call him filthy. We were just talking.” Kristen explained.
“Who are you calling filthy D’angelo?” Porzingis screamed. “I’m calling you filthy so why don’t you get away from Kristen.” Russell said.
“Oh my god guys stop! Go settle your differences on the court and not on the sideline.” Kristen said.
Tension was starting to heat up between these two was starting to heat up and the third quarter was just about to start. The Knicks were up by twenty points at the half so the Nets really needed to kick it up a notch if they wanted to win the game. Russell and Porzingis were playing hard the whole game just trying to one up each other. Point after point they would just stare each other down and they would play harder and harder with even more intensity after every point. However, in the end the Knicks prevailed and they were the better team that night. When the game was over Kristaps went to go see Kristen and they talked for a while after the game. They were very flirtatious during this whole conversation. “Hey what are you doing later tonight?” Kristen asks. “Actually nothing at all. How about we go get some dinner tonight.” Porzingis says. “That would be lovely!” Kristen exclaims. As the couple was walking off a very angry D’angelo Russell arrives with a very mean look on his face. He was being closely followed by Quincy Acy, and Joe Harris, two other Brooklyn Nets players. “Now where do you think you’re going?” D’angelo asks. “Yeah where do you think you’re going with a girl like Kristen?” Acy asked. “Hey leave us alone, we’re just going out for dinner.” Kristen says. “Yeah what’s your problem anyway Russell?” Porzingis asks. “His problem is garbage like you Porzingis.” Harris says pulling Kristen away. “Let go of me!” Kristen screams. “Oh why so you can run away with your little trashy boyfriend?” D’angelo says. “He’s not trashy and I want to be with him.” Kristen explains trying to pull away from Harris. “Oh really? Well don’t expect to see him again.” Russell says dragging her away. This whole plot was all out of jealousy because Russell and the whole Nets roster knew that they would probably never beat the Knicks so they wanted to ruin a perfectly good relationship. A few days go by and Porzingis is preparing for his game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He can’t stop thinking about Kristen and she can’t stop thinking about him. Kristaps goes on to the court as usual and actually starts out pretty well until the game goes into a downhill spiral. Late in the second quarter, Porzingis went up for a dunk on Giannis Antetokounmpo and landed the wrong way on his foot. A distraught Porzingis already lost his girlfriend and now he may lose the rest of the season. He

Pregame meals are an important part of most sports fans’ gameday routine. My routine involves eating a Chipotle burrito bowl in front of my television prior to Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey games. I do this in good faith that my routine will lead the Bolts, as they are dubbed, to victory. Gameday Chipotle just seemed to fit because after all, hockey is a sport full of superstition and protein-crunching athletes. By 6:30 on Saturday evening, I was ready.…
