Personal Narrative Essay: Should We End On Halloween?

As I passed through downtown Atlanta, I couldn't help admire the home of the Braves, not just because it was an architectural wonder but because it brought back to mind that very first lesson when Professor Van Huevelen sparked my curiosity when he said we find that there are some things in this world that are repeatable. Repeatable. Repeatable.
So a baseball pitcher, if he throws a ball with the same speed and in the same direction, spinning the ball the same, it'll end up going about the same place. And then that repeats itself, so it almost seems like there must be some rules that govern that behavior.

After all, this is the day when people like to suspend their beliefs in the physical laws that govern our world. Spirits awaken from the dead. Ghosts pass through solid walls, levitate objects, and defy the very rules that bind us as mere mortals. But is any of this really possible? Could these laws really be broken? Will there be a day when we can beam ourselves up to the Starship Enterprise, travel faster than the speed of light, travel back in time? Well, who knows?

But to break these laws, you first have to know what they are. And that's really not such a complicated thing.
Physics isn't just reserved for the abstract thinking of physicists. It's for normal people, too. And through inventions like the cell phone and the computer and CD-ROMs, even parachutes and race cars, we are able to witness the amazing world of physics. And we're a part of that world. And as we gain knowledge, we have the ability to shape its future and make

The scariest thing about Halloween is the shocking number of calories we can consume in one go without a second thought. It’s like an autumnal version of Easter, just replace the fluffy bunnies and clucking chicks with horrifying clowns and spooky skeletons. Express Vending have crunched the numbers and discovered just how many houses both adults and children would have to trick or treat in order to burn off the sweets they might receive in exchange. While a measly packet of Parma Violets will only set you back 3-4 houses, a full sized Mars Bar could add up to over 40! We’ve, rather sneakily, calculated this information by looking into not only the number of calories adults and children can burn while walking, but also how many houses…
