My topic was “Do video games cause violent behavior?”, and I chose this topic because I thought I knew enough about video games to write a 3 page paper over it. I was very wrong because I had no legitimate evidence to support or defend any of my arguments. When I realized how hard it would be to do the paper without any research it dawned on me that this was the first time I had ever done a research paper. I panicked and thought I was going to be doomed, but luckily for me, Professor Gitlin had scheduled a meeting in the library for a nice lady to teach us how and where to get our research for our papers. Immediately after the meetings I went back to the library and started gathering information over video games and behavior. With it being my first time researching information about video games, I was truly amazed at how much information there was over just this one topic. Before I knew it, I had several articles both supportive and defensive. Everything was going great until it came time to put the research on paper. The most difficult part of the entire paper was taking the information I gathered and turning it into my own paper without plagiarizing. When I finished the paper, I was both excited and nervous because I had no clue if I would make a good or bad grade on my first research paper. I ended up receiving a good grade, but there were some notes asking me to add more personal experiences to the
