Third Time's A Charm “The moment when you want to quit, is the moment when you need to keep pushing”-Ins-power. When I was 16 years old, I wanted to take my learners test, but I failed 2 times. After that, I studied everyday and night non stop for over 2 weeks, and I ended up getting a perfect score when I went to take it a third time. Now, I’m close to being able to get my license and having freedom to go wherever I please. It was 9 o’clock in the morning, and I had just woken up. I looked at the calendar and sighed. Today’s the day; Today’s the day i take my learners test. My dad gave my sister and I words of wisdom before hopping into the car. Once we got into the DMV, all I could smell were tires. I walked to the desk with the study book in my hands feeling not confident whatsoever. The lady asked me for my name, birth date, birth certificate, grade, and she asked for my I.D. My hands we shaky and sweaty as I handed her all of those items. She pointed her finger towards the waiting room. As I sat, trying to study, I couldn’t concentrate. We did the same routine as the last time, yet I still did not feel confident. Actually, I was more nervous than I was the first time. Before I went into the testing area, my dad gave me a thumbs up and a big smile once again. I gave him the same one in return, but mine was with less pep in it. I listened to the voice over once again and still, I could not seem to stay focused. My attention switched to the walls and the old license plates again. It took me approximately 10 minutes to finish the first section of the test. Consequently, I still failed by one question. I rejoined my dad and shook my head to give him the indication that I failed again. This time, all I could see was disappointment on his face. He was silent the whole car ride
