Beliefs:
I have been lucky enough to have been raised and influenced with two religions; Judaism and Protestant Christian. My father’s side is Jewish so I have been raised participating in Jewish customs and holidays. My mother’s side is Protestant so I was raised to go to Sunday school every weekend and to celebrate Christmas and Easter. It has been a neat experience being able to learn about both religions. One thing I believe in is Karma, I believe that there is good Karma and bad Karma. I like to live by the idea that everything happens for a reason and things are meant to be. I know currently live in Woodstock, CT. I have lived in America my whole life and so have my parents. My family background on my mother’s side my great grandparents were from Ireland, so we are 50% Irish. On my father’s side my great grandparents came from Russia, so we are 40% Russian.
How my culture has influenced me: My culture has allowed me to gain many qualities of who I have become today. I have become hard working, kind, determined and patient. I have learned that in order to be successful and to be the best you can be, you need to take time to be become these qualities. It is important that we are patient and understanding with others especially as healthcare providers. A quote that represents my culture: One quote I live by daily is “ Dance as though no one’s watching, Love as though you’ve never been hurt, Sing as though no one can hear you and Live as though its heaven on earth.” I believe this quote is important because I believe that you should never do anything based on what others opinions may be. I believe you should do what you want and not worry about the judgement of others.

Fruit gives me the energy and nutrition I need to be energized throughout the day. Pasta provides me with a comfort food, which makes me feel at home or calm in times of stress.

There are many things that I value in my everyday life. I value that everyone should be responsible, respectful, and honest to one another. I value the importance of friendship and being there for my friends at all costs. I also value the importance of family, which their needs come first to me and I should always cherish them. I value having trust in another person. Trust to me in built on honesty and integrity. I value that someone needs to prove to me that I can trust them.
