The harsh weather that threatens Iceland and sickness that plagues my body has left me inert and all I see is darkness that mimics grim and icebound land that scourges Iceland. The violent weather seems to have taken a turn for the worst, it is just as my father had said; the weather is only getting worse and I fear a blizzard may erupt during my final stages of my journey. I remember fragments of the dreams I had in my feverish doze; A vivid memory that was within the dream of Agnes churning butter and she whirls around and the corners of her mouth slid upwards displaying an infectious smile that doesn’t befit someone of her reputation and this incredible smile shows the unknown nature of Agnes Magnusdottir. Suddenly more recollections of my vivid dream and a dreaded feeling ran through her nerves like the chill of an icy wind washes over my body as a gut-wrenching feeling plagues my body; Agnes’ head is spread upon the execution board like a lamb ripe for slaughter. The frozen wind crashes violently against me, threatening to knock me off my horse, but my body refuses to give in as we pass the neighbouring farms not far from the Jonsson families residence. I swell up with doubt, What am I going to say to her to comfort her? I truly pity Agnes.
