Is My Mother Ever Justified?

My mum is many things: a teacher, a citizen, a daughter, a sister, a wife and so many other things. But this endless list boils down to one main thing – my mother is a human being; an unbelievable one human being.
This is ordinarily where an author boasts on about their mother being the best mother out there as everyone contradicts against this by shouting out on about how admirable and awe-inspiring their mother is. In my opinion, I would like to argue we fight for our mums in the midst of a crowded yet empty void is because they are the person we first learn to love. Also, if your last name is of the same Chinese character as your partner, you will be rejected from society if married. However, since 1994, this rule has been more welcomed and modernized. My parents have the same last name Kim, but the Chinese character for their last names are different allowing them to be married without anything holding them …show more content…

In Korea, the education system is possibly the harshest and most competitive in the world. In order to have a good life in the future, you must have outstanding grades to be accepted into a prestigious and acceptable university to have a socially acceptable occupation which would come along with a reasonable income. Parents made education such a forceful act – children rarely participate in extra-curricular activities unless it is beneficial for their grades. This still currently is believed to be the only way to live a good life in Korea.

My parents had witnessed my brother go through the primary years and see them battle through the stress of good grades from such a young age that they made the life-changing decision to migrate to Australia and leave everything they knew behind to life a better

Slavery, during the 1800s, was physically hard for African American fathers, but not as hard as it was emotionally, on mothers. I recently read the primary sources of “Soloman Northup”, “A Mother’s Anguish”, and “Incidents in the life of a slave girl.” These abolitionists argue against slavery by demonstrating the strong, independent role of enslaved women through sacrifice, bravery and their love for family. The role of a sacrificial mother, is first shown in the article “A Mother’s Anguish.” A mother of two little children decided it was better for her children to die quickly than to suffer a long period of torture, “[she] thought of the toil, and stripes and misery her children must endure, she thought she would rather see them both dead.…

I was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas; my environment shaped me to become someone responsible, an over achiever, and a determined young man. The people who had the biggest impact on me is the woman who gave me life, my father, and my community.
