I’m a P.K. which is a fun little thing preachers kids call ourselves. Some of the core values of my religion have stuck with me. I have also blurred the lines on others. Kindness and compassion are probably two of the most influential parts of my religion. Being raised within the Methodist church and by a Senior Minister I saw so many acts of kindness and giving that I feel it really has been probably one of the biggest parts that make me who I am. As a result I have a large family that I say is born of the heart. My family isn’t always biological. These family members have come to be as a result of the influence of religion. I feel that the biblical teachings of Jesus being kind, accepting of the outcasts, being loving were what I connected with the most. I have for the most part tried to live my life with this simple thought in mind… Be kind, be open, and just lead the best life you can. One day I alone will have to answer for the things I have done. I am by no means perfect and will have a lot to answer for but overall that core value is important to me. I do not like cruelty, or I should say I don’t like acts that I believe are cruel because people’s views on cruelty can be
