The company was eventually acquired by Oracle Corporation, another company specialized in enterprise software products, in 2005, though the packages originally developed by PeopleSoft have kept their “PeopleSoft name” and are marketed as such. This particular package has five different modules that each serve a purpose in organizing the HR function. The Global Core Human Capital Management modules has “country-specific capabilities with delivered local extensions as well as multi-national data formats, protected with embassy-grade data security” (cite).
