Charles Halloway and his unhealable wound can be shown through “That’s Charles William Halloway, thought Will, not grandfather, not far-wandering, ancient uncle, as some might think, but...my father.” (Bradbury 14), “The ice was cold. Tom Farrey, in chapter 4 of Game On: The All-American Race to Make Champions of our Children asserts that unstructured play can benefit children in long term athletic competition more than the methods of youth sports today. He argues that the parents of today’s society are pushing children into highly competitive athletics which aren’t even producing results, compared to other countries with different approaches. On page 86 he introduces the French Football Federation in Clairefontaine which is highly esteemed in producing professional soccer players for France. The Federation practices methods similar to the ideas manifested in Dr. Istvan Balyi’s research which finds that long term benefits reap from later exposure to competition in youth…

The weaknesses of Peet’s revolve around a few notable aspects, the first of which is its menu variety. Although it does offer different products, these food and drink options have little variation within them. Also, compared to some of its competitors, Peet’s is not as active with advertising and promotions, both in store and online, which deducts from Peet’s potential customer base. Additionally, locally Peet’s has an issue with service at their on-campus locations, as a large amount of UC Davis students frequent the locations during peak hours, making the service slow and unreliable. The opportunities for Peet’s are important for its success in the long run. Peet’s has the opportunity to open more locations in order to effectively compete with Starbucks, who has a large lead in the race for number of stores in the United States.…

Many lives were lost on both sides due to the close proximity of the gunfights and some lives were lost due to the lack of appropriate treatments to the soldiers. The doctors operated on soldiers in very unsanitary conditions, used non-sterilized tools, and did not have today’s antibiotics. Introduction "Death's Acre" reminisces the career of a forensic hero named Dr. Bill Bass. He is the founder of the wellknown "Body Farm" at the University of Tennessee. This extraordinary site is the world's only research location committed to observing deceased human decomposition. The research information collected at the Body Farm has helped Bass and police solve many grotesque homicides and lock up some very morbid murderers. The story is based mainly around these cases, which give it a tough nosed true crime theme, but it also probes into Dr. Bass's personal life, loves, and losses as well, creating an image of a man who is an idealistic scientist, brilliant detective, eloquent ambassador for murder victims, and an ironically humorous person.…
