My wife is staring into the orange sunset, watching the clouds start to emerge, I take a seat next to her and I look at her with dread in my eyes and say,” Honey, should I go to war?” She gives me a look and stares deeply into my eyes and she tells me,
“I can not make that decision for you, that is for you to decide.” She places her hand on mine and leaves to go to sleep for the night. Now the decision is mine, do stay or do I go? I stay up for days and nights not getting any sleep, contemplating on whether I die for my country or I live to see another day. Eventually, it was time; I had to decide to stay with my wife or go out to war and hope to see the family I love again. Next thing I knew, I was on a boat heading to who knows where with shouting men cheering on this country. The sky was blue, the waves were darker than the blue on our rightful flag; and on that day, I knew I was heading for war and it was going to change my life
