To test this question to be true, I set off on my own and conducted critical thinking skills and asked people what their thoughts were on the topic. In beginning the process of coming to a solid conclusion to this topic, I created a questionnaire for people of any age to fill out and hand to me. The survey had three questions to it. The first question was a simple “YES-or-NO” answer and it stated, “Do you believe that music can change your emotions and mood?”. The second question was the person’s favorite genre and what they enjoyed listening to. Finally, the third question asked them to just write a little about what music meant to them and how they used it in their lives. I began by going to the local grocery store where I work, Weis Markets. It was around 4 P.M. on a Sunday and I knew that was the perfect time to conduct my research knowing it was the busiest time of the day there and it was right after churches were letting out. The first person I talked to was a middle-aged woman with brown hair and a flowery dress on. I approached her and asked her if she would like to take the time to take the survey. She replied yes and I told her a little bit about why I was conducting the research and what I’m looking to find out about music relating to affecting moods. She happily filled it out and I was on my way to finding out the secrets behind music and how it works its magic on people’s emotions. The day consisted of many people from any age filling out the survey and helping me out. I then created another question on the social media app, Twitter, in which any of my followers could answer a yes-or no to the question, “Does music affect your emotions and moods?”. The app and the survey I gave to people helped me analyze a great deal of information in order to seek the answer to the ability of music
