Pachacutec the Great Inka Emperor Today we talk about Machu Picchu and the greatness of the Inca Empire, but who was the one who made the Inca Empire a great kingdom? His name is Pachacutec, the ninth emperor of the Inca Empire, also known as Tahuantinsuyo. He was the fourth Emperor of the Hanan dynasty. Pachacutec was the largest Inka emperor and a great conqueror. He was, is and will always be known for his good works to the Inca nation. He has been the greatest statesman of the Inca Empire, and is considered until today as the great organizer of the great Inca nation. Pachacutec as a young man was trained in the Inca tradition. He was not supposed to be Inca Emperor. His brother Urco was the crown prince. But, per many chronicles, Viracocha and Urco both left Cusco without fighting in the war with the Chancas. Pachacutec Cusi Yupanqui defended the city and defeat the enemy. So, after this war he became the crown prince, and when his father died, he became the new Inca (Wikipedia.org). In addition, Pachacutec was the greatest conqueror carries his kingdom to the north and south, until it became an Empire, the Inca Empire. During his long periods of conquest, he was writing poems about what happened every day in his life, and what he saw in the new towns. He watched the culture, customs and religion of the conquered people, to understand them and to manage them in a wise and peaceful manner. Pachacutec divided the Inca Empire in four regions to efficiently manage their Empire. So, it is considered a great statesman and Governor.
