Outsourced American Jobs: A Case Study

As stated, the four main sectors of outsourced American jobs are IT, call centers, human resources, and manufacturing. IT jobs are frequently sent to countries such as China and India, for the skill set is very similar, but the wages are much lower. However, the wage differences in paying foreign call centers are very small in comparison to US call centers. Because of this, some of these jobs are beginning to come back. Outsourcing jobs in human resources allows businesses (specifically, small businesses) to reduce a wide array of costs. In comparison to domestic workers, outsourced workers do not receive benefits such as retirement, health insurance, worker compensation plans, and legal enterprise (Amadeo).
