What’s “dead” is the human race as they appear more short-sighted to preserving the Earth. Things are beautiful and great until the source vanishes to extinction. Oliver Milman’s article “Yachtsman Describes Horror of ‘Dead’ Pacific Ocean,” this trip was different than the previous trip ten years ago. In the perception of Ivan MacFadyen he had a routine of catching and eating fish every day and tossing his trash without thinking of the aftermath of his actions, but only for the benefit of his own. He realized that things just didn’t seem right when the original ecosystem is no longer at work.
