An epic hero is a person who goes on a dangerous, and sometimes even deadly adventure, but even then shows courage, honor, and loyalty, even if it cost them their life. An example of an epic hero would be Odysseus from “The Odyssey”. In the story Odysseus proved himself as an epic hero by demonstrating courage honor and loyalty in his dangerous voyage trying to get to Ithaca.
The first characteristic of an epic hero that Odysseus showed was courage. In the story, there was a scene where Odysseus came across a Cyclops cave. In the cave, Odysseus used his courage to defeat the Cyclops and escape with his men as stated in the quote. “I drew it from coals and my four fellows gave me a hand, , lugging at it near the Cyclops as more than natural
