During the 18th century, to pay off bill, the majority of people had jobs, 81 percent to be exact.
Jobs were starting to advance because of the industrial revolution.
They included work like manufacturing, construction, and mining. Later on there would be a surplus demand for these occupations, so in 1851 the quantity of the jobs increased.
Agriculture was also a common job during the 1800’s, but the need for it reduced and is now not as popular.
As the years passed by the population increased. This meant that there had to be more houses, so more jobs for building homes struck out.
Furthermore, even more factories were made, so more jobs were available to more people. This is called the industrialization.
