Information I found; Mummification took approximately 70 days. The reason why this this took so long is it had many long confusing steps. First they would have to remove all of the internal organs and get rid of all moisture in the body. They would have to fill the empty spaces with linen bandages.( These were not very thick so many bandages would be used). The next thing they would do is wrap the mummy. One mummy would need about 100 yards of linen or more. You're probably still wondering why this took so long, well when wrapping the mummy each individual finger and toe would be wrapped before wrapping the whole hand/foot. Incase of mishap or bad things they would place amulets on the body and wrap them to the body. Sometimes the priests would place masks on their face
