Also, in order to get into nursing programs you have certain GPA requirements. ”A minimum average GPA is usually required for admission, for instance, you may need to have maintained a high school GPA of two point five or higher” (RN course requirements). Different schools have different minimums. ”However, after a student completes their schools general education core curriculum, they will spend the rest of their registered nurse training participating in health care related course work” (RN course requirements). This portion of their program they will consist of a variety of nursing lectures and clinical. Registered Nurse course requirements stated that ”The actual courses students will need to take will depend on their school of choice and their educational requirements. There are two primary options for registered nurses to work toward. They can work toward their associates degree in nursing, or ADN or their bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). ADN programs typically take around two years to complete. Accelerated BSN programs and RN-to-BSN programs are also available. ”Different patients need different help and proper care for health and other reasons or personal preferences” (Xu, Elizabeth). When a patient indices that they need help with something, be there for them. Also a nurse needs to listen to their patients for all sorts of reasons. ”A patient could have certain things they want looked at, or certain conditions that the nurse needs to know” (Xu, Elizabeth). For example a patient could be allergic to a specific medicine, have health conditions, or maybe the patient has their own treatment plans or ideas. ”Students go into nursing world with hopefully very known skills, and they never stop learning skills” ( Xu, Elizabeth). So as students go into nursing they have skills and when they leave, they know a ton of new skills. A nurses’ skills stay with them for a lifetime. ”As students learn more skills they can take them many places” (Xu, Elizabeth). A nurses’ skills can take them many places by starting at school, becoming a nurse, and if they wanted more than a nurse, after that it just continues. Nursing isn’t limited to only hospitals. Nursing school isn’t easy at all but it makes students as prepared as they can be in real-life situations. Even
