I am planning on working in the healthcare field, so I am mainly looking forward to learning how to write more coherently and effectively. I have a similar view compare to yours, I firmly believe that nurses or advance practice nurses do apply theories, models and principle in daily nursing practice, however, the theories, models and principles are simply gone unnoticed. There is room for improvement to enhance the awareness of theories, models and principles that are being applied, however I believe that does not represent the theory-practice gap. I appreciate your expression on how you have gained deeper understanding of the theories that you have learned, and you are planning on including more theories into future practice. I have adjusted my philosophy after the semester of learning. At beginning of the semester, I simply believe one particular theory will support my advance…

Firstly I would like to express my deepest apologies for the time scale for which I am submitting this appeal, unfortunately when I received my results for the assignment mentioned in the front side of the stage 1 from, I was left feeling rather discouraged. Thus, time was required to come to terms with the situation. As time passed I realised the possible valid grounds for appealing the current grade. Upon convening with my course leader (Carol Williams) I was advised upon the degree to which I hold a valid cause for appeal and steps to take.…

It just seems easier to just push writing away, maybe because I feel I don’t have the confidence on what it takes to be a “good writer”. But who is a good writer or what does it mean to me to be a good writer? Complete sentences, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, transition, emotions, writing format, being interested in a topic, grabbing the reader’s attention, a theme, these are all what I consider to be what good writing is or what a good writer does. I hope that as I take this class that my role and expectations involve learning how to use all of those aspects in my writing for in the future.…

Two of the most fundamental contributing areas of learning are clinical placement and theory. Being able to link the two together is an essential skill; this is emphasized by Cope et al (2000). Focusing on these two aspects, this essay is going to explore and analyse the extent of learning in the subject area of personal care and the links to other important factors of nursing.…

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council defines the enrolled nurse (EN) as, an associate to the registered nurse who demonstrates competence in the provision of patient-centred care as specified by the registering authority’s license to practice, educational preparation and context of care (Monash, 2013). As the enrolled nursing is on an on-going learning career, critical thinking, reflection and analysis are vital criteria that a nurse should concern during her duties and studies. Mainly these three points are significant to deliver a quality patient-centred care. Because some nurses that have been learnt these criteria are not applying in their clinical practice. Critical thinking helps ENs to make judgments related to client’s human…

This semester has truly been a semester of both learning and reflection. I am extremely grateful to have completed my practicum in the Operating Room at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. I believe that after 4 years of nursing school I have finally found what I want to be doing within the nursing field: being a circulating nurse in the operating room until I go back to school and get further education to teach future nurses. This semester has been full of ups and downs in relation to my practicum, however I would not change the experiences I have gained this semester for the world.…
