Under that long hood, the SUV will be empowered by twin turbocharged V8 4.0 liter engine that produces up to 503 hp of power output with 516 lb-ft of torque performance. Obviously, there is no official confirmation on the transmission and driving configuration yet. AMG 63 trim uses rear-wheel drive while GLC trim uses 4Matic four-wheel drive. At glance, this new SUV looks like the GLC 43 trim. However, this one has longer hood, which is probably due to the engine that needs more space. Front bumper has been revised comparing to the last one in previous test. The air intakes is made wider in this current model, changing the SUV into more muscular shape. Beyond the wheels, we will also find new brake disc in great size as well. Obviously, we can’t see the interior yet, but if we want to make estimation, this model will probably receive approximately the same interior trimming as in GLC 43 trim. It means it gets premium trimming with latest tech and systems to enrich the performance and comfort.
Release Date and Price
Mercedes hasn’t defined the official release date yet, but we can hope it will be launched in this year Paris Motor Show event starting on September 29, as they plan to launch the car later this year anyway. Price should be revealed near the day. Until then, we can’t estimate anything yet.
Mule testing indicates that the car will still get more improvement. Looking at the current condition, this is going to be a powerful SUV with rather unattractive look. The brand has reputation though, but other SUVs are great now. Considering this auto brand always give higher price, Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 will probably have tough time in
