Not My Type Book Report

The book that I read was called Not My Type by Melanie Jacobson, it has 225 pages. It took me a little under a month to finish this book. The things that I learned in this book is that people aren't always who they say they are. You need to learn to earn trust rather than just giving it out to anyone. When Pepper (main character) gets her wedding called off by her fiance (Landon)her parents paid off the debt from the wedding. Pepper quickly forgave him really fast then they got engaged again for the second time. Then Landon broke it off again but this time her parents didn't want to help pay off the debt. Another lesson that I learned is to chase your dreams no matter what. She has been working at Handy's sandwich shop. She wanted to be a reporter but the first interview that she got was at the Bee and it backfired and blew up in her …show more content…
The main theme of this book is where she changes her life around from being depressed and living with her parents. Also getting out of her wedding debt and getting out and actually dating people instead of walking around the house feeling sorry for herself. I think that this book would be intended for teenagers and young adults. I think that because this is the age that most the characters are. If I had to choose a situation that I had to be in and what I would do differently I would choose where she was engaged to Landon and he decided to put off the wedding because he wanted to go sing instead of getting married. I would have not let him come back to me and break my heart again. He would have to earn back my trust but even then I wouldn't put myself in a situation to get hurt again or spend that much money on a wedding. I would definitely recommend this book because it has a lot of life lessons you can learn in it and also its a good book that kept me
