People always give reasons for not going to college, whether it be financial issues, no dedication, or hating school. No matter what the excuse or reason is, it's a terrible mistake to make. By not going to college they are already at a disadvantage in life, and the effects of it, will be felt in their everyday lives.
On average the annual income of someone who did not go to college and get a degree is 28,000, while someone who did get a degree from a university or college is 51,000. The gap in the financial makings is huge. Not only is there less money to be made from not getting a degree, but there is also far less opportunities and jobs available. In a study done by Georgetown University, by the year 2020, 65% of all jobs will require some sort of education beyond high school. Employers wants educated workers. They want a person that can think for themselves, and problem solve creatively. Many of the skills necessary to be successful in the work place, are learned in college. A college education prepares you for what life is all about, and how to survive. A high school education can not do that for
