Teachers are one of the many important role models in their students’ lives. It is imperative to set an example and teach them different forms of communication. Effective communication does not only involve verbal and nonverbal communication, but also involves listening. As a teacher, we cannot always assume we know what our students are thinking, so we must ask questions and listen.
