The article "No-Stats All-Star" by Michael Lewis acknowledges how Shane Battier isn't considered a Stat Sheet Stuffer, but he is an all star without the box score, or attention. Lewis kicks off the article by stating Shane Battier isn't a big attention seeker, and he doesn't receive the undesirable attention. He leads on to say Shane is statistically poor but he makes the people around him significantly better with his unselfish play. Furthermore, he has an amazing +/- (plus minus) rating that is measurable with NBA superstars, he does this by doing the little things such as boxing out and closing out on defense that leads to a positive team result. Tying in the with the previous statement, teams now days are basing everything on statistics,
