During the Christmas/Winter break of my seventh grade me and my entire family went to Niagara Falls to see the falls and for my parents, to go the the casino there (Casino Rama). We visited the falls and went on a boat to get a closer look. It was still beautiful but didn’t give me that,”Wow!”, since I’ve been there many times. Later that day my parents, aunt, uncle, and their friends went in the casino. My older cousins didn’t want to go and my sister, so we just shopped around instead. There was and ice-cream place next door, and we went there to help with the burn, but I was much help and I couldn’t enjoy the delicious flavors because I could only feel my tongue on fire. I was constantly panting to try to get some cool air into my mouth, and trying to fanning the outside of my mouth my with hand to perhaps get some more cool air into my

A watershed event is defined by the Oxford dictionary as an event or period marking a turning point in a course of action or state of affairs. One such watershed event that affected me professionally as well as personally was being selected to serve as an officer in the Air National Guard. After eleven years of serving as an enlisted member of both Active Duty Air Force and the Georgia Air National Guard (GANG), I applied and was selected for a commission as an officer in the GANG. At the time of my selection I was serving as a full time aircraft maintenance technician in the GANG, and I was earning a good salary while enjoying job security. Being selected as an officer meant I would have to resign from my full time job with the GANG; therefore, after my training was complete, I would be left without employment other than my new one weekend a month officer position.…
