I would like to become a National Honor Society (NHS) mentor to give back to a club that helps make the community around us a better place. I believe that I am qualified for this position because I have exemplified the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.
Education has always been a priority for me. I am truly interested in what I am learning and how it can apply to the world around us. I have shown Leadership through my Speech and Debate Team. I am one of the senior mentors for the team, so it has been my duty to teach new members how to debate. I have tried to serve my community through the various volunteer opportunities that NHS has provided such as Rain Garden cleanup and the River Hill Health Fair.
