The four pillars of National Honors Society are scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Scholarship is a commitment to learning. This includes willingness to spend the necessary time to cultivate the mind in the quest for knowledge. This can be achieved through diligence and effort, always doing the best work possible, regardless of impending reward. This has always been my favorite pillar. I have always valued knowledge and the mind. Focusing on this pillar has allowed me to retain my GPA and prepare for college and eventually my future job.
